About Me
I am an end of life coach and death doula, providing personalized services to clients in the Greater Seattle area and western Washington state.
I founded my practice, Edge of Life, in 2025 after finding my calling to help people at all stages of the dying process.
I earned my doctorate in Communication from the Universtiy of Washington, and completed the University of Vermont’s End of Life Doula Professional Certificate.
My research in the ethnography of communication focused on collective meaning-making practices and cultural codes in communication. I have also worked as a union organizer, a user researcher in tech, and as an instructor of communication at Seattle University and the University of Washington.
Like many in the field, my journey to this work began with an experience of personal loss and grief when my younger sister, Hannah, died in 2023. I continue to learn and grow in this work to honor her and to ensure that her memory remains a blessing.
